Where can I get a potty and/or loo seat with a high front for a horizontal wee-er

DS seems to wee straight out to the front and only one of the potties I've bought is big enough for his bum, but it isn't high enough at the front to always catch the wee. Can anyone recommend a reasonably large potty with a high front, preferably one that I can buy online? I also need a loo seat with a front piece on it to direct wee downwards.

TIA

Bumping because I'm getting tired of cleaning up the floor.

Asda's cheapo potty is good for boys. Oval shape seat with a nice high front.

Thanks for that. The potty that I have is from Asda foxtrot, I don't know if it's the one you're thinking of, it's blue with a fish on it. It does have a reasonably high front, but he still manages to wee over the top of it. He's been getting very upset about getting wee on the floor and now he doesn't want to use the potty at all.

I had a look at the Baby Bjorn seat tissy, thanks for the suggestion. I think I may have to actually go to a shop and look at it though as I'm not sure the front bit is high enough. The Baby Bjorn potties look as though they have a good high front so it might work for him, but it's hard to tell from the picture whether it's big enough for his bum.

I really, really hate potty training, so does ds. It's not going well at all.

we have a green tommee tippee one , very similar to this one

Otherwise can you not encourage him to pee standing up, or is he a bit little for that?

wurlywurly · 14/01/2007 21:10

this one is really cool Would be ideal for a little boy.

It might be a different asda potty - the ones i have bought are less than £1 and don't have any decoration
Good luck, you will get there in the end.

sorry to state the obvious but can't you just get him to sit on it back to front. that's what I do with a little boy I look after sometimes with the same problem and that seems to work just fine

That's not obvious at all hc, I wouldn't have thought of that but dh says he tried it and it was uncomfortable for ds.

That motorbike potty looks fab wurlywurly, a bit on the expensive side though. It says it's suitable from 12 months so I wonder if it might be a bit small for a 2.6 yr old.

Would it be so bad if he stayed in nappies for ever? Potty training is much worse than changing nappies.

I'll have another look at Asda foxtrot and see what they have, the last time I was there they didn't have any potties at all, but that was just after Christmas so I don't think it was 'usual' stock.
