Flushable liner advice please

I have been using cloth nappies on ds2 for a while now, but not been bohering with a liner because I am using pocket nappies with fleece on hte inside.

Now we have started weaning and the nappies are not quite so pleasant to rinse. I have a roll of flushable liners, but don't really know how to use them [dim emoticon]

Are they one way liners, do they have to be used a certain way up?

The sections that tear off the roll are huge, do I fold them or tear them to size?

They feel horrible and papery and look as if they will scrunkle up in the nappy. Are they comfy?

I am planning to make some fleece liners, but first need to get to a shop that sells fleece.

I used to slightly fold down the flushable liners, and I only used them when I figured there would be a need for them. They did frequently get rather screwed up whilst on.

Thanks. I've put one on now because ds hasn't had a poo for a day or two now, so anticipating a huge and disgusting explosion

try not to fold them INSIDE the nappy, lay it over the opened out nappy, put baby into nappy and then make sure you have tucked all teh liner and nappy inside the wrap.
I've not yet come across any taht matter which way up you use them. If they are VAST tear or cut them in half. BUT is better to have too big and sticking out than too small and not catching the pooh.
Its a resonable idea to tear them into strips before flushing if you can, reduces the risk of blocking your drains.

Thanks. I tore it in half because it was huge. Still yet to have a poo!

I have been putting them on the fire to help save my drains, but prob won't do that when they're poopy
