Bumgenius V Fuzzi Bunz

I ordered a bumgenius and love it
Just wondered if there is a lot of different between bumgenius and Fuzzi Bunz as they are cheaper, poppers and sized?

Hanlou, I have both types and until recently preferred the fuzzi bunz because I didn't like the outer cover of the bumgenius because it was too plasticky, the fuzzi bunz feels like fabric. However I just got a brand new Bumgenius and thay have changed the outer cover to PUL so they feel the same as the fuzzi bunz now. The stretch tabs on the bumgenius mean that they are now a better fit on ds3 but I have found kin the poast that Applix can lose its gripping power with time. Bumgenius are great for leaving baby with a babysitter as they are used exactly like a disposable, I have found some people get confused by the poppers particularly if you use Wonderoos as well because they popper differently. Ds3 is 2 now and can still use the medium fuzzi bunz we have had since he was a few months old. Someone on here said their Bumgeniuses ( Bumgenii??) fell apart after 7 months but I haven't had mine that long so can't comment.

Not "kin the poast" but "in the past" ds3 assisting with typing!

I haven't tried bumGenius but they get good reviews, with the usual comments about leaking pocket nappies (they don't suit every baby).
The BG seems good value because it fits such a wide range. The fuzzis have the edge on colour choice - the range is huge.
In terms of fit, I have heard of a fair few nappy users complaining that they don't know which size of fuzzi to use because of the shape/size of their baby. Don't know about BG?
Poppers are a benefit on an older baby, because as far as I can gather most babies can undo velcro by around 7 months, which give you over a year of funny 'taking off own nappy' incidents. Nappies seem, like toast, to land wet side down as well!!
One other thing I remember reading about was that the stretch tabs on BG can pull and end up looking really dog-eared after a short time, but that may have been changed by now, as they are onto mark 2.
I've got a nappy blog for nappy reviews, with loads for Fuzzis and a few for BumG, so you could have a look here and see if it makes the comparison clearer. Of course feel free to leave a review.

I've found my BG's relatively leak-free but ds isn't a heavy wetter and his poos are always solis. (Sorry, TMI!)

BG has a lovely fleece-like inner called "suedecloth" Not sure if its just fleece by another name? Is the allergy definitely to fleece?
