We are looking at next stage car seats (after baby/young toddler) but there are so many we'd appreciate some advice and recommendations.
Thank-you

Hello. Not sure which stage you are looking for, but think it might be this one. We have Maxi Cosi Priorifix for ages 9 months to 4 years. It is an isofix one so great if you have a car fitted with isofix (can still use if not but dont see the benefit of it). DS is very happy in it and it is so secure, no movement at all. Looks nice too, if that matters... I would recommend it to anyone, no faults at all (hmm, except quite expensive).

Sorry should have been more explicit.
We currently have the Maxi Cosy P & agree, it's been fantastic.
It's the Group 2 booster seat we are looking at. DD wil be 3 in April but very tall and already weighs around 36lb's. When she falls asleep in the car she looks very uncomfortable and her head nods about even in the recline position.
Ideally we'd want the booster chair (not the seat/ cushion variety) to have adjustable wings and head rest so that it can be adjusted as dd grows.
Looking at the MC Rodi XP, anyone any thoughts ?

Which? liked the Rodi - they gave it a Best Buy recomendation but did say it was better for 4yo+ as younger children tended to slump forward when they were asleep.
They also liked the Concord Lift Evo TP, the Concord Lift Protect and the Britax Evolva 2-3 Ultra, though that last one was recommended for 4yo+ again.

You could also look at the Britax Evolva 123 Ultra, which is suitable from 9mo-12y if you wanted to keep her in something with a 5-point harness for a bit longer.

I would try and keep her in a 5 point hardness as long as possible if you can, as safest.

However, DD has 3 booster seats with backs. Two are Jane Indy Plus isofix setas. The other is the Britax HiLiner, which generally does very well int he Which reports.

we have 2 Mamas and Papas ProTecs (one for each DC) and they are wonderful. Easy to use and fit, comfy for the kids etc, but the reason we chose them without actually considering any others, is that they are the safest in the class (or were a year ago).

Can't remember where we found the info (DVLA or AA wesite?), but if you go to 'Which' magazine online, you can get a free month subscription and that will allow you to read their latest reviews and crash test results.

oh, I should have said its the safest non isofix one, as our car is not new enough for the isofix. And its a 9kg/20lb and up one.

Thanks all !
Certainly given me some food for thought. Will go on to the Which site and check out their recomms .

My son 3 1/2 and already in the next one up. He was in MC priori XP as it was deemed to be the safest by WHICH and he is now in MC Rodi XP which came almost joint first with the Concord.

The Concord comes in some seriously garish colour combinations, we went for the sedate black Rodi.

Have found that the seatbelt once threaded through the shoulder bit is a little hard to just pull so I have to use both hands but it is hardly the end of the world.

PLUS Rodi sits on a separate base that hooks through the car's own seat meaning that when your little one gets out of the Rodi it doesn't slide all over the car!!! This also allows there to be a slight recline (hardly worth it)
