What swim aid should 2yo use?

Not sure if there is a different board I should post on but was wondering what swimming aid should a 2 yo use?
We've been taking her swimming for some time now, just holding her as she floats and kicks and does 'swimming arms'. Shes's getting more and more confident and is keen to try swimming in her own. What should I get for her? Arm bands? Floaty swim costume? So much choice!

I prefer 1:1 with an adult and no flotation aids at all. I keep mine in shallow water they can stand up in or am in physical contact.

Children can learn to be water confident in proximity to an adult - the rush for 'independence' is unnecessary, and potentially harmful, in so many areas.

I have taught disability swimming with this method, and my own children.

I was very happy with float vests for my DC and would use for my DGC if the decision were mine.
Arm bands or rings or noodles ok, but the float vest very much better.

Another preschool swim teacher here (not water babies or any previously mentioned). We would never recommend arm bands, or any flotation device that's attached to your child (as opposed to a woggle they need to hold on to). If you have a 2 year old who has always worn arm bands or a float suit, they think they never sink in the water. If you turn your back on them for a minute before you've put that on them and they jump in, they're going to have a massive shock when they just sink. There is no substitute for a woggle and full adult supervision.

I've always done a mixture of swim discs (for fun splashing / floating around) and my support for actual trying to swim a bit. The swim discs help with confidence and mean they can relax a bit and I can use our local pool, which is 1.1m so my (short) kids are out of their depth for years. My 7yo learnt this way, started lessons at 5, and is now a confident length swimmer.
