Help have never had this problem before, DD2 is 11 months old and is always biting me. Never anyone else just me. Every time I pick her up for a cuddle she tries to bit my shoulder, arm, anything really. She pulls herself up on me and bits me legs too. She is BF but she hardly ever bites my boobs (would stop the milk flow I presume). She has 8 teeth like razors now and it is bloody painful and has left marks. I tell her no biting and put her down afterwards but she doesn't understand at her age. DP can pick her up fine with no biting it's just me, anyone else been through this and when did it stop?

I think you are doing exactly the right thing and she will get the message eventually. I wonder if she associates you with pleasurable mouth movements because of the breast feeding? I seem to remember one of my boys biting me at that sort of age (I shouted in surprise and he cried)and he didn't bite anyone else ever apart from his twin brother and that was about warfare! There is something v sensual about biting somehow.. Anyway- hope she stops soon.

I found that the more fuss I made when ds started biting me at this age, the worse it got. It was alwasy worst when he was teething....
Putting him down and walking away didn't seem to work very well for me. I tried to be consistent and stay calm, but eventually found that literally ignoring it by getting very good at avoiding being bitten (combined with removing my arm etc from his mouth gently when I wasn't fast enough) worked best for us.....

Hi, DD`did the same around the same age, maybe earlier, I think she got a little confused with kissing, but either way, I tried to ignore it, as she seemed to find expressions of pain etc entertaining, and it stopped after a month or so. It really does hurt doesn;t it?! It will stop though, so don;t worry.
Maybe start wearing shoulder pads for a bit
