tumble dry reusables?

Hi I'm a new Mum and new reusable nappy-user! We are loving using them (tots bots and One Life), but are having to use disposables every two days as they take so long to dry. Can you tumble reusable nappies?
Another question- how many of you use them through the night? How many times do you end up having to do a night time change?

Hi charliegal. I use terrys and some kooshies all in ones - I tumble them no probs. I tend to just tumble them for 30mins just to make them a bit softer but sometimes when it's raining and the airer/radiators are all full then I tumble them till they're dry. Shouldn't be a problem.

I also use them at night. Use a terry with LOTS of boostering. DS is still up every 2-3hrs for a feed (at 7.5months) and he is a very heavy wetter but never change a nappy through the night. Lasts a good 12hrs. The nappy is usually soaking in the morning and smells a bit but he's dry.

Hope this helps

Oh, that's brilliant..I don't know why I thought you can't tumble them. Will try the bolster thing at night..can't face all the changing on top of the feeding at night.
I feel better now I'm using them..hate the disposables and especially those plastic nappy sacks.
Gives our boy an enormous arse though..

All nappies are definitely tumble dry-able, but it does shorten life span on the elastic, so they may not last for two babies fully. You might need to replace some for a second baby.

You should find you don?t need to tumble your wraps, as they dry quite quickly, even on airers in doors.

Oh, and if you want to booster your nappies, then there are boosters you can buy to add to the absorbency, or you can use terry squares folded, old towels you cut up ? in fact, add anything you want to add to the absorbency. It does give baby a big bum though.

Otherwise, you can buy night-time nappies ? like Minki Huggle or Ella's House Bum Huggers. They are very thirsty nappies, and babies can go all night in them, depending on how heavy wetter they are. Also, these nappies can be boosted too!

My DS just wears his MEOS with a Stay-Dry booster, and job done ? he goes 12 hours! (He is 8 months). I did change him every time he woke when he was younger though, but often he didn?t really need changing.

Oops ? long message ? sorry! I?m a bit of a nappy freak now!

A tots or onelife should see you through the night - if you need extra absorbency just add one of your spare onelife boosters Both can be tumble dried - make sure you close your tots applix (velcro) if have that style. Tumble drying is fine - but no need to do wraps really - if you do - do on a low heat.

get some pre-folds and outer wraps, they dry overnight on the clothes horse, which saves money on leccy too.
