My DS is 6mths today, and i'm getting more and more broody by the minute.

I know i can't get pregnant until i get married in June (otherwise the dress goes back, and no honeymoon for me!)
But i am so broody i almost don't care.

Someone please remind me why i MUST keep taking my pill........

Give body time to recover? xXx That's a good reason.

ginnedupmummykissingsantaclaus · 21/12/2006 13:47

Just think about the morning sickness, piles, swollen ankles, varicose veins, backache, not being able to drink ...
And if that doesn't work think about sleepless nights, pooey nappies, cracked nipples, labour pains.
and if none of that works then you've only got yourself to blame

DetentionGrrrl · 21/12/2006 13:48

Yes, the cracked nips were rubbish.

Must keep thinking about cracked nips...

My youngest will be 3 in May and I have started feeling it a little too.

Its a PITA. I know I will just have mention it to dh and he ususally puts me off the idea again (for another 6 months).

We would most definately have to move house is we had another and there are few houses in the area we would like to live in, and the youngest has only just started sleeping through properly at night and tbh he is very sweet but hard work.

Can you see I am talking myself out of it.

Miaou · 21/12/2006 14:02

Ah well - I had dd1 and dd2 when I was 25 and 26 - and ds when I was 34 ...

lovelymoo · 21/12/2006 14:51

I'm feeling the same DD1 is 3 DD2 is 20mths but me and DH decided to wait till DD2 was three before even trying for Baby 3 - Not sure i can wait that long as wanted all three closer together. DD1 and DD2 will have to share a bedroom so wanted to wait till DD2 was older.
Might readdress after christmas

lornaloo · 21/12/2006 14:54

I've just started to get broody again. Ds is 15 months old.

lornaloo · 21/12/2006 14:56

Being pregnant when your ds starts to walk and your running around after him constantly. That should put you off. Having 2 kids in nappys would put me off.

DetentionGrrrl · 22/12/2006 04:16

Yes, 2 lots of nappies would be a pain.

But what about the lovely bump, the feeling of a little life moving inside you, all that preparation, the first time they latch on, a little companion for my DS........

It could be twins though. Twins, lots of nappies and cracked nips. Must focus on these things.

Hi there,

I am sitting here snuggling my nearly 6 month old dd3. DD2 (3) is sleeping upstairs (chicken pox) and DD1 (4) has gone out to take pictures with daddy. I would so love to have more children. Am always broody. But I think that's the kindda person I am. I dont have any work aspirations. just want a big family. I think some women are doomed to be broody forever, and thats me!

Judy1234 · 01/01/2007 17:00

It's lovely having 5.

yulelog · 01/01/2007 17:18

my dh is getting broody. after ds2 we decided that that was it however he is no talking about when the next one comes along. he is now a part-time sahd and i think he is relishing the role. i jokeingly said about a third ans he said well lets wait another 6 months. took me by shock. i go from yes i do to never! would be 37 going on 38 and dh is 10 years older. ds1 is 3 and ds2 is 9months.

DetentionGrrrl · 01/01/2007 20:32

I am still verging on broody, but have decided to wait until i am married in June before going on the folic acid, no booze, well timed sex route. DS will be 12mths then.

Looking forward to it already!

detentiongirl- think of your pelvic 'floor' becoming your pelvic 'door' - you will never bounce happily on a trampoline again that should deter you for a while...

DetentionGrrrl · 01/01/2007 23:39

It's recovered rather well actually...the first time i tried to wee after birth i had zero control (scary!!!!!) but i can stop the wee mid flow now (thank god!)...i shall exercise every day until the next bubba!
