Restoring softness.

I have just invested in some more nappies and it has made me notice that the present one's are a lot rougher than the new one's. I wash daily and use either Ecover or Filetti (?sp) washing powder. I do pop them into the tumble drier for 20 mins or so to start them off but then line dry. Any suggestions at how to restore their 'fluffiness'? I use MEOS/Popolini and tots bots.

Hi Joshjunior, I have only tried this a couple of times, which is to tumble dry after they've been on the line rather than before, which has helped at bit more. But I would be interested to hear what others suggest. I have heard a cup of white vinegar in the fabric softener tray helps soften them in the last (or last but one) rinse, but I haven't tried this yet (not sure which vinegar to buy!)

Hi JJ, just to follow on from my last post.. I haven't seen much difference adding white vinegar to the last rinse (but maybe I'm not adding enough?). I have since found doing a 15min tumble *before hanging out to dry is better than doing it after (like I posted below).

Any other tips welcome please!

Thanks karen99 I think I'll give both a try and see what happens. Perhaps starting with the white vinegar will stop the hard water build up in the first place. I think that may be the problem.

I added a bit more vinegar to my last load and it seemed much softer but had a slight scent. Does anyone know if that means too much was put in? What size cup do you suggest?
