teenager living alone

Child has been violent to family members and now has been installed in own flat. Sometimes not seen for a couple of days. Year 11. Opinions?

Sorry but not really enough information to give an opinion.

How was the decision reached that they should live alone?

Who has "installed" them? Parents? SS?

parents.. it was sort of by default, because they couldn't have him in the house any more and they have a flat they rent out, which had just been vacated. He is 15. He was smashing windows and hitting his sister.

Is he allowed to live on his own at 15? Are SS (or other) involved?

I don't know if it is allowed, I don't like it, but I can't see any other option either.

Have you got any outside help? SS, Camps, etc? It must be a very difficult time for you all

NSPCC can advise about a child living alone. It doesn't sound great if he goes awol for days at a time.

He is 15 they hqve parental responsibility for him punting him into a flat isnt ok and more than likely be seen as neglect .
