What highchair to get???

MumToBe2015R · 04/01/2016 19:58

LO is 5m & I am looking into highchairs now. Ive started him on some farleys in the morning past 2 days but it's abit difficult feeding him in the lap.

Could any one suggest a compact highchair?

We want something that can fold up & be put away when not in use.

Thank you x

We have a 1 bed flat. Kiel I said we used the Stokke trip trap.
Although squeezing a table in sounds like less space we actually find it gives more space, as then the children use the table for most things which keeps stuff contained and off the floor!
So the highchair like Stokke slides up to table like normal chair and can be used later without bar and straps. Mine still use at 5 years
Means all play dough/ drawing/ Lego/ puzzles etc can be done at table without you standing or falling over it!

IKEA is good for space saving stuff

Something like this against wall? With a Tripp trapp high chair or similar on third side

Thank you NoPlanYet I really appreciate your advise. Maybe I should have done more reading into it than to just jumping to Farleys because it says 4-6m on the box. Will Definetly have more of a read into all this today, and I guess your right about the sweet, really didn't come to mind Shock

I started out with a bumbo for feeding but also agree the ikea antilop highchair is great. I have just discovered a great website called Babylists.co.uk which has loads of recommendations for stuff like this.

ProjectPerfect · 05/01/2016 15:35

Definitely the ikea Antilop - I have three children and have had four high chairs and wish the IKEA was t the last one I discovered.

Beets the complicated gracco with multi recline positions, the expensive looking stokke and the flashy pod hands down

And by beets I obv mean beats...

MumToBe2015R if you want to know more about what to give your baby, the NHS has an excellent guide. It's not as widely 'advertised' as processed foods. They just don't have that advertising budget, sadly.

And definitely NHS does not recommend a rusk. The alternatives are very cheap.

I didn't make a comment because most people don't take it kindly. Obviously a rusk once a while isn't a bad thing. Just like having a biscuit or two. But it's not a meal.

NoPlanYet · 05/01/2016 16:20

I'm really glad you didnt take my comment as criticism MumToBe2015R, I really didn't mean it that way. Good luck with your gorgeous little squidge Grin

I know you said folding but IKEA legs come off v easily.

They can't be beat!
