Magicalls not working??? Anyone help??

My magicall has started leaking!!! It doesn't seem to be an edge leaking issue, but right through the entire nappy!

Any idea how to fix it (was considering tumbling hot to seal the pul in the cover??). Would wonderoo exchange it or just tell me its user error?

Hi Flame, could try a hot tumble, also treat the fabric with a good rub of undiluted washing up liquid, this is supposed to work on PUL wraps, however I think it may just be Magicalls. Mine do exactly the same thing, can't get much more than 1-2 hours wear out of them, tend to only use them now if needing to do a quick change, i.e. when we are going to swimming classes etc.

what a nightmare..would also try the tumble on hot but email them aswell.

Oh no, are they really that bad? I've just ordered one today as a spare for changing bag, should I cancel my order?

Flame, I would consider returning it to the seller you bought it from - I did this recently with a tots wrap and got a replacement, although I'm not sure if Wonderworks would offer the same guarantee. Might be worth a try though?

Hi Bagpuss, I guess it depends how much your DC wees! Mine is a heavy wetter and I just think the Magicalls can't cope with this, I use wonderoos with a hemp insert and they are fine so I am guessing it is the terry coton inners that aren't up to the job now my DD is getting older. Find them really useful as a standby nappy when I don't want the faffing around with a wrap but only if I know we will be home soon and I can then change her into something more substantial.

Snugglebumnappies, thanks, ds2 is 17 months and not really a heavy wetter but it can vary. I do have pocket nappies which are just as slim etc, but I really wanted it for dh to use as he has expressed an interest in taking ds2 out over the hols to give me a break . I may phone Babykind this morning and see if they have already dispatched it .

I'm going to email them - I did the hot tumble but haven't tried it out yet. I don't think it is heavy wetter issue - it was working for 4 hours or so before, and then the last 2 times I've used it its been drenched through to his jeans within 1 1/2 hours The first time I thought it was that I'd pointed him in an odd angle or something, but the second time I was wary and concentrated.
