Ds rolled over and has started scooting about pushed by his legs (still laying) several people have said 'of you'll need a baby jail now' honestly hadn't given it a thought!

Did you have one? Do i need one?

I don't have a playpen because I always managed without, and it would have taken up too much room. On the rare occasions when I do need to keep DS safe and can't take him with me - usually when I have to empty the washing machine, which is in the cellar - I put him in his cot or leave him in the bathroom with the door locked, but never for more than 2 minutes. He is always around me the rest of the time, playing with pots and pans and tasting raw veggies while I'm doing the cooking, playing with the hoover while I'm doing the cleaning, "helping" me hang up the washing etc.

We had one at first to keep the dog away from the Dts if I went to the loo or into a different room for a minute and then when they were just on the move it was really useful again if I need to go to the loo (upstairs toilet) or make a coffee etc.

Yes, yes and yes. I said I would never get a baby prison or take my pfb out on a 'lead' to avoid psychological damage.

I didn't know I would end up with a tiny ball of destruction that pulled up to stand at 7 months but still can't walk unassisted at 14 months. The baby prison and the reins saved my sanity, and my back.
