Do you think that your "Parenting experience" would be very different if you had JUST boys or JUST girls?

Would it alter from mum to dad?( ie is a dad's role very different if he has just girls?)
thank you
That's all.

I wonder if a mum is more emotionally linked to the intricaies of girls lives - maybe in a nice way- than a mum of boys.

Do you think dads are excluded as girls become teenagers? Or the same for mums of boys?

Hmmm no real idea either(I have boys).

I was thinking about something like this today though, ds wanted me to play with him (car/garages) now if it was a dd perhaps it wouldn't be so boring at least we could play dolls/houses etc.

Nah...think i'd be the same

i have a boy & a girl,...but with a big age gap, so too early to tell yet ! although DH a lot more protective of DD ....i think my parenting skills and knowledge is so different to what it was 7 years ago when DS was a baby,... DD is 17 months and is a different creature all together!

i have one of each...but i did just have a boy for nearly 6 years. I didn't particularly find girls mystifying.
i sometimes think i learnt more about parenting from parenting a boy than by parenting a girl...but i suspect i have a sharp learning curve in the future with her!

We have a friend who has two girls and he always moans that he is missing out on boy action. I wonder if he too is romanticising.

Yes very true. My son actually loves his buggy with his la-la in it and is obsessed with his hoover, I think it was hearing my friend discussing her presents for he dd. Dolls houses, dolls, prams etc etc.

I love my boys and love having 2 boys and if I am honest I actually find my friends little girls very complex and a litle bit scary.
