My youngest son has always been a bit of a handful but just lately he is becomming much worse, he's constantly cheeky, mocks people when they speak, he swears and calls people names...its not that he's unhappy infact he ALWAYS got a huge crocodile grin on his face, he's always laughing and smiling but his behaviour is getting unbearable.

He never sits still for 5 seconds, he's loud and he's ALWAYS messing around, he's always in trouble at school, always in trouble at home, always in trouble if we go visiting...its just constant with him, he used to be my pride and joy but I'm starting to feel that I don't like him very much anymore , he embarrasses me all the time being cheeky to people, he hits me if I tell him off, nothing seems to get to him.

I'm dreading him being a teenager as I truely believe that, if he carries on the way he is he will end up in trouble with the law and will be completely out of my control. At the moment the 'nice kids' won't have anything to do with him as he's too rough but he's popular with the 'not so nice' kids...I fear this is a trend that will continue.

Please help.

Im not a pro at this sort of thing but i would imagine diet might be a good place to start, the more experienced mn'ers will be more help though im sure..

Thats the thing though, I wish I could blame it on his diet but I really can't see how it can be changed for the better.

In a morning for instance he gets up, he's drowsey so he's nice, calm and pleasant...he eats his breakfast which is never anything sugary (usually weetabix with no sugar or porridge oats with a glass of fresh fruit juice) and it starts instantly, he'll start messing about at the table, throwing food, he'll then run upstairs and start annoying his brother, refuses to get dressed, refuses to get washed...on the way to school he'll practically run the whole way there whilst fighting his brother, kicking people's fences etc etc then he plays up in school, on the way home from school he's a nightmare again running practically all the way home, climbing on anything climbable....he doesnt eat many sweets at all and his meals are proper fresh ingredients etc...
