inconsolable crying

Only 1.5 weeks old and DD is crying inconsolably and looks like she is in pain. Research is saying loads - colic, purple crying, reflux etc but I just need to know if it's normal. Thought it was constipation as she was struggling to go to the toilet and looked in pain - however she is putting on weight and soiling nappies so guessing it's not this. Also bringing up milk and then getting distressed. Can anyone advise? Just need to know what's causing it and is there anything I can do? Her crying is so intense and it sounds like she's in agony!

Food played such a large part in the happiness of my little girl. She is 5 months and the first 12 weeks were a nightmare. She would scream and scream for hours and i felt awful, it wasn't until a friend mentioned about giving up dairy. I gave up all foods with milk in (including some ham, and crisps...milk is in soooo much) and after about 3 or 4 weeks she was like a different baby. She could be put down on the play mat and would play happily, she wouldnt arch her back after every feed, she was finally happy. I now notice trends in the way she acts and what i had for dinner/tea/ I cant eat beans or egg as she also reacts badly but a slip up will only last a couple of days now! It is definitely worth looking into a possible change of diet. It DOES get easier (I hated when people said that to me so i apologise) the first 12 weeks are the hardest but after that they start to get stronger and happier! Reflux is also a pain and my girl is currently on ranitidine, i would 100% push for a Pediatrician appointment though :D
