Ds diet is still mainly veg carrots broccoli cauliflower sweet potato butternut squash cabbage potato with bits of ham cheese or tuna. Then fruit pots or yogurts.

Looking for other things that are quick and easy just for ds.

I batch cook the veg and freeze and use when needed can I do this with the likes of chicken or rice?

Eggs are out the equation as it brings him out in a rash all over his face.

You just feed him a bit of whatever your eating surely?

We have a 7 month old staying atm. He just ate porridge, a few blueberries, and a bit of banana. Basically the same as my older children are, but just smaller portion.
Last night he ate beef and mushroom stroganoff with rice. ( a strip of steak, few mushrooms in sauce and about a tablespoon of rice)

I meant if I'm not eating and I'm just feeding him

Avocado/ salmon/ rice/ cheese/ raw veg/ meat balls/ yogurt, all quick to do.

A quick lunch for mine was usually leftovers from night before with something new added. Ie I would have a bit of salmon left over, and would just cool some fresh pasta/ broccoli and add a bit of natural yogurt

  • cook not cool.

But 99% of the time they would eat when we ate as we eat 3 meals and day and they would have a bit at most

I did BLW so he had what I had most of the time. I think at that age he was getting pretty good with toast/sandwiches and pasta. Which are quick and easy. A friend of mine have me a great tip with pasta. Just cook the pasta and then add an Ella's pouch to create the sauce or if you do home purées then add a pot of that to make a sauce. Very handy for out and about.

Ditto the advice about the pasta. I have a big bag of precooked pasta swirls (fusilli?) which I defrost along with whatever sauce comes out first. It was carrot and cream cheese today
My DD LOVES risotto. Again, batch cooked and frozen in individual portions sizes.
DD will eat bread of any kind. Pancakes are our 'go to' at the moment - spread with cream cheese or hummus. You might need to avoid though if your LO has an egg allergy.
DD often has mini shredded wheat for breakfast and I can't see why she couldn't have it for any other meal. I get the Lidl one with raisins. Just needs a minute or two to soften in milk.
Why not batch cook some homemade burgers / fritters with all the veg he likes, or veg / cheese scones or veg / oat flapjacks? All can be frozen.

Cereal, weetabix or porridge (frozen ind portions but you could use readybrek) with yogurt /fruit added.

Sandwiches/(cheese/ham/cheese spread)
Any fruit (bananas and berrys are favorite with mine) but boiled a little if you think they will struggle.

Fast macaroni/ noodles/ mash (frozen)/ pasta (frozen) / rice with, frozen veg (favorites here are broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, corn, peas, mushrooms) and a bit of meat/fish (either left over or a frozen cube of mince).

We also keep odd leftover cubes of sauces and soups that can be added to things like, mash etc

We also freeze little meals of whatever we are having from leftovers for days/times we don't eat with the kids.

For snacks we sometimes make pastry sticks or flat breads, either with herbs or cheese. Although tbh if I lived somewhere with shops I buy something like a normal person. Grin

DD3 eats pretty much whatever we are having.

She has what I call a fridge meze most lunchtimes which is actually just whatever picky bits are in there (cheese, pitta, hummus, carrot sticks, falafel, breadsticks) or a toasted sandwich/crumpet. I often give her a jacket potato with cheese/beans as a quick dinner. I normally use the low salt/sugar beans, but aren't too precious about it.

My 8 month old doesn't eat much tbh.
She usually has pancakes or toast for breakfast as she doesn't like porridge.
Lunch is what me and dd1 are having so cheese and bread, mashed potato with spinach and cheese, tuna pasta etc.
Dinner is usually whatever we're having too so spag ball, stir fry, fajitas, chilli, chicken korma etc. She usually just had a tiny bit of things then gets bored. She likes the baby fruit pots and yoghurt and I also make her homemade fruit pancakes with mashed apple or muffins with cheese and brocolli and freeze them and take them out if we're going out.
