apparently bamboo is more the absorbant but tbh, i'd say hemp from personal experiance.

As far as I know, hemp is more absorbent than bamboo, even though most 'hemp' boosters are, in fact, only half hemp and half cotton. I've read that hemp is up to 250% more absorbent than cotton, so I suppose a half hemp booster is 125% more absorbent than cotton.
Bamboo seems to be around 60% more absorbent than cotton(according to tots bots) even when the the fabric is more than 90% bamboo (the bamboozle).
Some bamboo nappies are 70% bamboo and 30% cotton, so it might be worth checking because the lower the bamboo content, the lower the absorbency I would have thought.
I have bamboo and hemp nappies and hemp seems more absorbent to me and slimmer fitting, but bamboo stays softer and more flexible, and is still quite slim.
I suppose if it is for a pocket nappy it wouldn't matter if the booster were softer, but if the booster were to go inside a nappy, then you would need to tumble the hemp for ten minutes after washing to soften it.

Thanks masie and Pink, I have one hemp booster but as I use it folded at the front of nappy for night or a long trip out, doesnt matter if it resembles cardboard from drying on the radiator!

I thought it was more absorbant but just wanted to check before I decided on hemp or bamboo boosters

Thanks again!
