I would roll up and secure the nappy. Redress the baby and then dispose of the nappy and wash hands at the kitchen sink

Artandco · 17/10/2015 21:42

Demented - but roll nappy up and put where? Just in the bin inside your house?

Dirty nappies into a nappy bag and into ouside bin. Wet nappies into kitchen bin

Although that was some time ago. Dc's are now 9 and 12!

We have a nappy bin in kids room. It's a specific nappy bin so doesn't smell. I change baby on mat then put her on the floor, put nappy in nappy bin and wash hands in bathroom.

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 17/10/2015 21:58

All nappies in the outside bin.

Weebeastiebaby · 17/10/2015 22:58

Put them in a tied nappy bag and in a bin (with lid) in bathroom or kitchen. Both bins are emptied at least once or twice a day and cleaned regularly and have never had a smell. I think you may be overthinking it a bit. They're just shitty nappies shrug

Bunbaker · 17/10/2015 23:37

Nappies from breastfed babies don't smell.

Jeffreythegiraffe · 17/10/2015 23:42

Nappy goes in nappy bag and put in outside bin. Hands get washed in kitchen sink or in bathroom if I'm upstairs.

LittleBearPad · 18/10/2015 23:34

Nappy in kitchen bin. It's wrapped in itself, in a nappy bag and sealed. The bin is emptied pretty much every day anyway.

Having lived in Greece where the plumbing can't cope with loo roll and there are open bins by every loo for used loo roll a crappy nappy in my bin doesn't phase me.

People only tip poo on Mumsnet. No one I've ever met in real life every even contemplated it.

Same here.

I really couldn't give a toss what type of nappies people use or how they use them.

After a recent thread I am, however, very relieved you all wash your hands!!
