I've used both Aldi and Lidl nappies and have found them just as good as the premium brands.

Scattymum101 · 06/10/2015 17:15

Aldi are the best I've tried and beat pampers hands down imo.

Katieemilyxo · 06/10/2015 18:07

Unfortantly I live no where near a Aldi

www.bumdeal.co.uk is a price comparison site for nappies

I use reusables but my SIL swears by sainsburys - they are the only ones with elasticated waists or something and good value

trilbydoll · 06/10/2015 18:09

Sainsburys and Morrisons are good and far more absorbent than pampers ime. Should be 10p a nappy roughly.

Tesco are also okay but gave DD1 nappy rash. Not DD2 though. You just have to experiment!

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 06/10/2015 18:10

I use Tesco value pull ups in size 5 for my son and I really like them. I use Tesco own brand ultra dry at night and they work fine too.

ceeveebee · 06/10/2015 18:11

I used to get pampers from Amazon on a monthly subscription, I got 20% off so it worked out at £8 for a box of 68 baby dry (this was about 12 months ago)

HaloEveSteve · 06/10/2015 18:12

I use aldi, Wilkinson's or sainsburys basic. Sainsburys basic are the cheapest and honestly absolutely fine. I got them after reading about them on here. Pampers are ridiculously overpriced.

Artandco · 06/10/2015 18:12

Have you considered reusables? Little man do 10 reusables for £50 which would be a huge amount saved event if you used reusables only at home and non out for example

CoodleMoodle · 06/10/2015 18:16

We use Tesco 5+ for DD. They're always in a special offer. We also use the Value pullups but they are VERY cheap feeling. I've started buying Lidl pullups which are nicer IMO even though they're roughly the same price.

CultureSucksDownWords · 06/10/2015 18:24

We used to order nappies and wipes on Amazon monthly, as a PP has described. Worked out cheaper than buying from supermarkets/Boots.

katienana · 06/10/2015 18:27

Yes I used to shop around and bulk buy when on offer. I had the amazon subscription for a while and also bought from Costco sometimes. Boots used to work out OK as I'd rack up the points and use my vouchers on them to get £off.

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 06/10/2015 18:29

It's funny because I actually prefer the snug fit of the Tesco Value Pull-ups. We've tried lots of varieties but they are my favourite. They've recently put the price up but they still the most affordable ones I've found. Cheaper than Alfi pull ups!

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 06/10/2015 18:29

*Aldi

Doublebubblebubble · 06/10/2015 18:32

Sainsburys has good ones... Newborn £4 for 46

And Asda have some pretty good ones too x

StormyBlue · 06/10/2015 18:35

We do buy Pampers, it's not so bad when you buy them in bulk. Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys (and probably others as well) always have the biggest packs on 2 for something (£15?) and they last us ages.

It would be very pricey if we bought the small packs in top up shops though.

BikeRunSki · 06/10/2015 18:35

I mostly used cloth nappies, but found Sainsbury's basics very good on holiday.

I used these for nursery with no problems. Very cheap and delivered to the door.

StormyBlue · 06/10/2015 18:36

I originally bought from Amazon but then they wanted me to subscribe to something you had to pay for to get the deal and I don't like doing that.

Radegund · 06/10/2015 18:37

We use just4bums from Kiddicare (think it's their own brand) which are delivered, work out very reasonable and seem to fit our children better than Pampers.

Radegund · 06/10/2015 18:38

Oops, see I'm not the first to mention these!

DeathMetalMum · 06/10/2015 18:43

I've used all of the own brands apart from lidl and never had amy issues really. Boots and tesco were my go to for a while then aldi, but used Sainsbury's, Morrisons and another own brand and had no issues. I always buy the 'dry fit' range rather than active fit, generally get a couple more nappies per pack for the same price.

teaandkittens · 06/10/2015 19:21

Carrefour value nappies from Ocado. £3.50 for 50 and no problems.

CupboardOfBacon · 06/10/2015 19:25

I much prefer any supermarket own brand to Pampers. Pampers are really low riding and ds sleeps on his tummy they tend to leak.

Pixi2 · 06/10/2015 19:27

I would second trying supermarket own brand ones.
If you think nappies are expensive don't even try night time pull ups.
