I'm apparently crazy and hence studying 120 credits at the same time from October. I also work one day at the weekend (sometimes more in the holidays). My 3 year old goes to nursery for 3 hours in the morning but I still have my 1 year old at home all day so any studying will have to be fitted around them. Shock

So, I'm doing my level 2s this year. Human Biology, Dementia Care and Health and Illness. Which also means I'll have 3 exams within one week next June. Shock Shock

Organisation will have to be my middle name over the next 8 months. Is anyone interested in joining me for a friendly motivational keeping-each-other-on-track thread?

Hi! I'm doing similar to you - 120 Level 2 credits, although mine are Social Sciences. I work three days a week and I'm a lone parent to three - luckily mine are all at school now so I've got two days free a week to get a lot of the work done.

I've actually started already in attempt to get ahead and then keep on track. Although the courses don't officially start until October, the module websites for both of mine are open which means I can access the study planner and the weekly activities. The only thing that's not open yet is the forums and I figure I can still join in on those once the course starts properly.

I'm still not sure I'm doing the right thing trying to do so much at once, but I start Level 3 next year and even though I'm doing those one at a time I know the workload will be a huge increase so I'm trying to ease myself in, heh.

What's your degree? And how many credits have you done so far?

Hi Freya!

I'm so relieved to hear I'm not the only mum crazy enough trying to do this.

I'm doing the open degree. Started off with Psychology but changed my mind and am now mainly doing Health Science with a bit of Maths. I've got 135 credits so far but only 120 counting towards my degree.

I've also already started. In fact all my assignments for the year are already online too so really there's no limit on how far I can work ahead. My aim is to stay 2 weeks ahead in all three modules at all times so I have a buffer when things inevitable go pear shaped due to extra shifts at work or a sick child.

If all goes well I also want to do all my level 3s (120 credits) at the same time next year so I can finish in 2017 when the DC start school and nursery respectively. I think I'd like to do a PGDE Primary then so the time pressure is really on for me.

Which modules are you doing? Do you already have plans for nce you're finished?

I've just finished mine today. I was hard work but worth it.
