Surely other mums don't love their kids like I love mine?

I look at DS1 and just think he's the most amazing thing in the world and can't believe how much I love him. I must love him more than other mums love theirs? But then my mum says that's how she feels about me and my siblings, so perhaps it's what all parents feel?

But then I'm always kissing him and laughing at him, and I don't really see many other mums like this with their children, so perhaps not?

Not sure what I'm getting at with this thread really- just musing I suppose.

Today my 4yo ds has helped me make hummus, spoken politely and humorously to adults, played beautifully with other children, tidied his room when asked to do so and has in all ways been an angel. He is also drop dead gorgeous with blond hair and blue eyes. I don't just think he's the best little boy ever to grace this planet, I know he is!

This however is a far cry from the moody, sulky, argumentative, volatile little monster we packed off eagerly to bed last night!

Oh gosh I did the model agency browsing thing.... until I read all the reviews about what a bad idea it was!

Make the most of it OP because by the time he is a teenager you may hate him...

Not everyone who adores their child feels the need to cuddle and kiss them all the time, but it doesn't mean they love them less than you love yours.

Looking back, I wish I HAD cuddled and kissed them more because they won't let me do it now even if I wanted to

I kind of see where you're coming from. I can't bare other children and can't see how their parents can possibly love them like I love mine
