Where to get clothes for a slim toddler?

Need to get some clothes for my 16 month old Dd. She's the smallest of her age group in nursery, about 9kg but average height. She's only started to grow out of most of her 9-12month clothes, but got some clothes in gap and zara last week in 12-18 months and they are generally a little short, but still pretty loose. Next clothes seem to swamp her around the shoulders and waist if they fit in length, supermarket brands seem to be huge too. Any advice on brands that might suit?

My DD has always been 75th centile for height and 25th for weight so I have a similar problem. I actually find Sainsbury's to be really good and Primark isn't too bad either.

Thanks, I have only got pjs from sainsburys lately, which were massive so didn't actually think to try the rest of their stuff.

Oh I did buy leggings from matalan last week and they seem the best fit so far.

Try H&M or some of the scandi brands. Sainsbury's usually good, but depends on the item. M&S has been good in the past too.

CanISayOfHerFace · 04/09/2015 20:01

Petit bateau are very long and slim fitting otherwise H&M

BernardsBum · 04/09/2015 20:03

Jojo Maman Bebe, Boots, some M&S, Primark & Sainsburys as said prev. I had to be really selective about styles too.

addictedtosugar · 04/09/2015 20:05

I find boys trousers in H&M come up long, and have adjustable waists, which suit my skinny boy. Worth a look?

LostInMess · 04/09/2015 20:11

Boots were always very good for my DD. And Gap too.

Peacocks is quite good too.

Equimum · 05/09/2015 16:24

I was also going to say H&M, but again, as the mother of boys. The waists are very adjustable on most of their trousers. Even if the girl's aren't the same, they do toddler trousers in nice bright colours which could be unisex.

WhatAHooHa · 05/09/2015 16:29

Most European brands are good for my skinny one... La Redoute/Vertbaudet, we've even had some stuff from Lidl and Aldi which has been a good fit.

Gap

hollydolly64 · 11/09/2015 22:50

I am still having this problem with my children age 3, 6 and 8. If trousers are long enough then they are far too big around waist. They have to have the adjustable waist all bunched up, which my eldest hates. Consequently she usually wears v short leggings :(
Even tights are a problem. Never dare complain to friends in case they think I am stealth boasting about tall slim children! V annoying.

H&M holly
