Baby's first immunisations will be late

Hi, I asked at my GP practice weeks ago whether I could book my daughter in for her 8 week immunisations and was told I had to wait til after our 6 week check up. We've just had our check up and when I asked to book an appointment for my baby's immunisations, I was told she couldn't be seen until a month from now when she'll be 10 and a half weeks.

Will this be a problem that her first set of imms will be 2 and a half weeks late?

Thanks, Sarah

No, it won't be a problem, she'll be fine. My DS's first imms were at 9w+ which meant all other ones happened later too. He's absolutely fine.

No, its not possible to do everybodies at set times, and its only a guideline anyway.

Thanks everyone I won't worry about it if it isn't unusual for them to be late.

Ours were a month late as we moved areas. It should be fine, most people are careful not to visit newborns if they are ill anyway

Ours were late too (silly mummy got dates muddled and had to rebook...), actually IMO it worked out better - DC2 was far better post-jabs than DC1, who had them all on time. I'm sure it's because she was a bit older.
