Pocket money

My children get pocket money every week - 10p for every year of their age times 2. They get this without having to do anything for it - it's just pocket money. They also have to make their beds, keep their rooms tidy and one or two other jobs just because they are part of the family and we all contribute. They can also earn extra money for extra jobs. The trouble is that they have to be real jobs and it's hard to find things that the 5 year old can do. My 10 year old can do most household jobs efficiently and without me having to do it again afterwards! So what can 5 year old do? We don't have a dishwasher and sorting ut their washing is something they do as part of their "unpaid" work. Any ideas?

How about some basic gardening tasks, such as weeding (provide basic training first, obviously ) or flowerpot washing?

Hadn't thought of gardening - thank you! Up to now he's thought of gardens as something you break with a football! Maybe doing some gardening will give him a sense of ownership of it.(wishful thinking or what!)

Cleaning the car?
Sweeping the drive/path/garden of leaves?
