My baby is never happy

She's five months old.
She had reflux until about 3.5 months so cried all the time until then due to that.
Now nothing makes her happy. She's not sore any more and takes me milk better but she's so hard to please.
She doesn't want picked up, she doesn't want put down. She doesn't want on her mat, or to sit on my knee. She screams in the car seat and screams in the pram. She is NEVER HAPPY. I'm so tired of it. I just spend all day listening to her whining and throwing herself about all over me trying to get away from me then crying if I dare to actually put her down.

I have heard that too. I have NEVER experienced it, but my sis in law tells me it is awful.

Runnaway - tell your SIL to chew gum after every meal, it REALLY helps surprisingly, much better than antacids ime . The saliva neutralises the acid. Simple yet so effective.

My DD was miserable with silent reflux until weaned at 7 months. After that she cheered up as the reflux improved and was all smiles by 1 year. Up to 7 months it was soooo tough, constant crying, little sleep, hard to feed. It was the reflux clearing up that sorted her mood.

How's she sleeping? DD2 was an angry, angry baby but she calmed down significantly at about 4 and a bit months when we got her napping properly during the day.

5 month old DS and he's always whinging or screaming and just generally unhappy. He does smile and laugh but it's occasional, most of the time he's frustrated with everything and it's like he's having constant tantrums. I'm not really looking for a solution just some empathy from others experiencing/experienced it with their baby. And how do you cope as a parent with the constant screaming/whinging ALL DAY! Confused
