Rolling at 3 days old? Safety

My little daughter is 3 days old and we've got her sleeping in a Snuzpod bedside crib. However, every time i put her on her back about 30 seconds later she's rolled completely over on to her side.

Firstly, is this normal and safe at such a young age?

Secondly, her face seems to be smooshed against the side - this is scary as it is safe!?

Although I did suggest a towel further up thread as had been suggested to me I have since done some research and the sleep centre and SIDS charities do NOT recommend propping a side sleeping baby or using a wedge,
They suggest that the baby should be put to sleep on the back and if he/she rolls to side then pull the underneath arm forward to right angles with the babies body to prevent the full roll onto tummy.
Once the baby is aware and strong enough to move the arm and roll over their research suggests he/she will have good enough neck control to be safe sleeping as he/'she chooses.

DD2 is almost 3 weeks and has been rolling onto her side from the day she was born. Initially it was only to one side but now it is both. She doesn't usually go back onto we back unless she flails around a bit! She also always turns her head to the side. Spoke to hv who said it's safe enough if they are rolling themselves as opposed to you placing them in that position. I have also taken her to an osteopath but it hasn't made a difference to the rolling. One thing that I think does prevent it is putting her in a cloth nappy. I think the bulk stops her!

Both of mine did this. With dd it was due to muscle damage from being stuck in crap position in utero and a long and v difficult labour. She also couldn't move her head in the other direction. She required treatment but by the point it was fixed, she was rolling properly and slept on her side anyway.

DS was small (6lb 36 weeker too) and would not unfurl from the foetal position. It made him roll to his side automatically.

More strange was the fact that DS laughed from birth. A proper mutley, wide grinned chuckle. He did it when drifting off to sleep. The midwives in hospital came to watch/listen after every feed. It was so sweet and a bit disturbing.
