I am studying with the OU but am thinking of transferring to my local Uni full time in 07 or 08 depending on finances. Does anyone know if I will lose income support benefit if I do this and are there any grants/ other benefits to help single parents studying full time?
Any information much appreciated.

Im studying ful time, ur are usuall y in fr 2 days a week, 3 max. 3 hour lectures/ seminars, lots of support, na dyou will have the extra days to study/work! i get £15.000 a year towards nursey fess, grants and loans, you really do get alot of help! Im in my 2nd year now ds id 2, its hardwork , but rewarding, but u do just get on with it! if u havwe financial struggles on the way, there is a finance team within all unis that help, can give you xtra grants! I pay £20 a year fo martial arts, and any other activitys they have yoga, it really is worth it, and you get to mett new people and realise you are not the only one in that situation, they al stuggle, kids or no kids! xx hope that helps!
