Is it OK to use with cloth nappies or is it bad for the nappies like Sudocrem?

I think it stains, does it?

Have used it with cloth nappies and paper liners and not had significant staining (although by and large it does stain badly so you need to watch out for your clothes).

And it worked, and didn't seem to interfere with absorbancy. You only need to use a very thin layer, though - you should be able to see the skin texture through it.

Girls, with a toddler who specialises in tomato sauce type stains, I think any likely stains from metanium would be likely to be insignificant in my world!

I swear by the stuff and don't use paper liners generally, hasn't been a problem.

Didn't realise that Sudocrem was bad for cloth nappies - why is it?

i use metanium but only when dd has a rash

it sometimes leaves a slight stain on the fleece liner but really, who's looking?

chipmonkey · 15/11/2006 13:56

LWRG, it sticks to the nappy, and can make it water-repellant which is obviously not what you want in a nappy!

I've used Metanium with cloth and it's never been a problem.
