Slow flow teat for a greedy guts

Hi, need advice on a slow flow teat for a breast fed baby. I bought the Tomee Tipee newborn teats designed for breast-feeding mums, thinking that the baby may have some nipple/teat confusion. However, the baby took to the teat immediately and sucked so hard he devoured the milk too quickly. Was then sick. Having inverted the bottle over the sink, it seems to me that the flow is pretty quick, and especially for a baby who has a suck like a dyson. Can anyone please recommend an alternative, slow flow teat? Thanks!

Dr Browns bottles with size 1 teats slowed dd down considerably for a short time, - but she has speeded up again as she got the hang of them. They do preemie teats as well, but my local Boots don't stock them and couldn't get them. The flip side is that the bottles are a real pain to wash.

BTW, I really like the comparison to a Dyson!

Avent do a vary flow teat which worked for my daughter. Indicators on teat allowing you to move from slow to medium to fast without having to buy different flow teats. No fuss at all when I felt she moved on and wanted more milk you just turn bottle to mark on teat (1 line for slow flow 2 for med flow and 3 lines for fast flow). It also saves time when your son indicates that he is'nt happy with flow you don't then need to run out and buy the next size up. Hopefully this is helpful for you.

Thanks for all your help, so quickly. Will try him on the variflow and hope that they work. Having psyched myself up to expressing, I could have cried when I saw all that milk reappearing! The baby, on the other hand, was quite unmoved and within 5 mins was clamouring for food. So back to the breast it was!!
