Hi, I'm new ish to this cloth nappying lark and we're getting on fine with some vintage size 1 tots bots I've been given, towelling ones with a sewn in insert, with various wraps I've got second hand.
However, we don't have quite enough for washing every other day, or every three days, which I'd prefer as its doable when I go back to work. Plus DS (7 weeks) is on the 98th centile and could be tall so I think he'll grow out of them fairly quickly.
I've been on TJ's cloth nappies and eBay, bought a few different btp pocket nappies, they all seem fab quality, and a few different inserts.
I'm confused though about the best way to use the inserts, I've got charcoal, hemp, microfiber, and some Terry nappies. Also got fleece liners. (well, a cut up primark fleece blanket...)
Currently he's lasting 2-2.5 hrs before the towelling nappies are wet, but not entirely soaked, longer if he's slept and no leak's. I've also got nappy nippas, thanks to a kind mumsnetter, so I can try a towelling nappy at night as disposables aren't cutting it, but not sure what insert to try with that.
I've got my mum knitting a wool cover to try too..
How do you people use inserts with these pocket nappies or terries?
I should probably start weaving lentils next week..
