Night time nappy for 5 year old boy

I have asked before but without much success. DS1 is back in disposable pull ups as I got fed up of wet beds more often than not. I am keeping him in nappies until we get fully dry. I want to use washables as I dislike disposables, plus it leaked last night anyway. I would like something like a pull up but it isn't crucial. He is very tall (rise is 19) but quite slim. Any ideas? He is too big for XXL fuzzis and terry squares. TIA

My 7 year old has used Motherease bedwetter pants. Found them very absorbent and never leaked fom them. Had to stop using for abit though as he was getting a bit sore.

You would need to get 2 or 3 as they take ages to dry! HTH.

I tried one of these before but after the 3rd time of trying to get it off him without putting poo all over him, my husband binned it. My son is only wet so do you think they are worth a try again? His pyjama pants leaked last night again. I know the bedwetter pants are dear so I want to get it right. I have a very good airing cupboard which tends to dry things over night, can they not go in the drier? Thanks for your help.

Nab, I have a couple of Bedwetter pants if they're any use to you - I got them for dd a while ago but she didn't like them so never wore them.

I got them third hand, so they're a bit grey, but there's plenty of life in them if they're any use to you.

If he's only dry then I think they're fine. DS1 wets heavily. He can leak out of disposables but has never had a leak out of his Motherease.

You can tumble dry them - but I'm not sure if doing that on a regular basis might cause the waterproof layer to perish quicker. Airing cupboard is probably better.

One thing I did do when DD used them was to sew in a fleece liner. She had really sensitive skin so cut out a bit of old fleece blanket and stitched it in to try and stop the wetness against her skin. Should do it again for DS2 really.

HTH.

WWB, Thanks but hubby prefers new nappies. It's okay, he has to then pay for them!!
