Is it safe to take a baby on a demo?

Have never been on one (to my shame...) but would like to go to the anti-austerity one in London. Is it safe to take my 10 month old, or irresponsible? DH imagines us being kettled, crushed, trampled, etc... I am assuming this is silly, but don't actually know!

I'm not the op, but I took my 10 month old to the march and it was brilliant! I carried him in the sling, he had a nap and a breastfeed in there, and he loved all the chanting and music. No trouble at all. Though I didn't complete the whole march to the end as didn't want to get crushed or stuck in parliament square. I don't know why so many people were against this. I think it's good to start teaching your children about what you believe to be right and wrong, and I hope my son will grow up to be proud of me for taking him!

Basil, we are talking about a ten month old for goodness sakes.

Teaching your children what is right and wrong doesn't depend in you going on a demo. In any event, at ten months old they will have less than zero idea of what is going on.

I'm pretty London savvy but there is no way I would - far too risky
