Not sure what prompted me to do this but here goes.
If it's universally understood that 1lb is 454g that would make 2520g 5.550lbs ? And 2120g 4.669lbs. Are my maths right???

You`re slightly out - try g to lb converter - google

Google says 4.673lbs and 5.555lbs. Which still makes me question why the Nhs red books put them at 4.11lbs ish and 5.10lbs ish. All the weights I have checked (done the maths for) are different from the red books, this has really confused me. My 7lb baby was actually 6.9lbs and the other 2 are wrong as well Confused

Ok - go and workout how many ml there are in an 1/2 pint of wine :) It will all become much clearer and a lots less annoying!

Really?! I feel the urge to check my red books now

GunShotResidue · 28/04/2015 21:04

There are 16 oz in a lb. So when the red book says 4.11 I'm guessing it means 4lb 11oz, which would be 4.68 as 11/16=6.8.
I'm not se I've explained that very well :/

GunShotResidue · 28/04/2015 21:05

*sure not se
