DTS (2.11) have onl been potty trained around 4 weeks, yesterday I spent the day at my sisters who does'nt have a potty, so they were using her downstairs loo instead, so today they have both decided to do away with thier potties and insist on using the toilet, of cause I am very proud, but bloody knackered and wishing I had a downstairs loo

Look on the bright side - the more practice they get the sooner they'll be doing the whole thing on their own.

I stopped helping my DD1 go to the loo after about 1 week of potty training but poor old DS1 is so short he can't manage by himself - he's also to feeble to turn the tap on. He may just be feeding me a line of course...!

es my dts are ver very small, most of thier clothes are 12 -18 months, though dt2 can actually get on ans off the toilet herself and refuses help, she just likes me to be with her, I suppose its time to buy a step and toddler seat

We have no loo downstairs, so I kept the potty for when we were downstairs and used toilet when we were upstairs from the very beginning. It worked for us. At nighttime, I put the potty in the bedroom on a rubber backed mat for extra security and it was often used, even though the bathroom was beside their bedroom. HTH

My DTS have just turned 3, and I still use the potty downstairs, if I let them upstairs they would cause mayhem, DD likes to empty own potty (if I let her)

Yes its a good way of keeping fit, but I understand, its knackering, good luck! and well done!
