16 month old still has milk in the night.

dd is 16 months.
she eats really well, three meals plus snacks. she has a bottle of milk before her afternoon nap and again at bedtime. She usually wakes once in the night for milk. I thought once they ate a decent amount of food, the night waking would stop. Does anyone else have a 16 month old that still has milk in the night?

We did, until we gave her water in the night rather than milk, after a few nights she stopped bothering!

Yes we just switched to water and a few nights later she stopped bothering. I don't think she needs it but she will take it if it's on offer, so we stopped offering it and she is fine.

Oh okay. I'll give it a try tonight then. how do you give them water? in a supply cup?

Not entirely direct to your issue but my step daughter (nearly 6) would have a 'boc boc of tea' or hot chocolate before bed, up until the age of about 4 and a half. We just thought perhaps she wouldn't be as tired without it, until we realised that actually it was us offering it at night time, not her demanding it. So like the others on here have said, don't offer it and she probably won't want it!
Offering a different drink is a good idea, too.
Good luck

My 2.8yo still has (a tiny splash) of milk if he wakes in the night. Quickest way to get him back to sleep.

Going to switch to offering water in the next week or so just because I'm worried about his teeth. Going to switch to milk then brushing teeth rather than milk in bed for same reason.

He's not going to be happy..

Mine is exactly the same OP- good eater in the day but just seems hungry at night. He went through a phase of sleeping through but, having lulled me into a false sense of security, started wKing Gian and nothing except milk does the trick.

I go through phases of worrying and thinking I should do something about it, but at 3 am, with the choice of a quick feed then back to bed within 19 mins, or hours of shushing and trying to get him to sleep, I take the easy option. Figure he will grow out if it eventually!
