Just been given a baby beanbag, do I need a bouncy chair too?

Due DC 2 in 3 weeks and just been gifted a baby beanbag. I just bought a new baby bouncer. Should I return the bouncer or will it serve it's own purpose?

It could be useful to have each one in a different room of your home, so you always have somewhere to put the baby down? I wish I'd had more than one bouncer chair!

I had two.

The bean bag was great for keeping upstairs so when I showered or bathed the other dc my ds was in the bean bag.

Or when I got ready was cleaning etc
The other was kept down stairs

Agree it would probably be useful for
different rooms. Assuming you have the space I would hold onto both.

Keep it. I use the bouncy chair downstairs and the beanbag upstairs. DS2 loves to lie on the beanbag whilst I run his bath or have a shower. He sits in his chair whilst we're eating, and we also take it outside. It helps to have a variety of places to put him, as he sometimes gets bored of one place but will then settle in another.

Bouncy chair is a fun thing to bounce in! Or at least that is how ds liked it.

I only found bean bag useful when dd was tiny, but she quickly got bored of it after a month or so. As soon as she needed more entertainment the bouncy chair was amazing and continued to be an amazing place to stash her while I did jobs until she could physically escape from it at 7 months Grin
