I'm a sahm for the next year. I'm pretty much living in skinny jeans and tops with cardis. I go out every day so joggies are a no no for me lol.
I like getting dressed every day and doing my hair and makeup. It's stopped me having that 'new mum icky' feeling this time. Last time I felt gross and frumpy and not 'me' for months. This time I've been lucky to go back to my pre preg size after about s month so haven't really had to buy any new clothes for the adjustment period yet. I've just stocked up on cheap primark tops and a new pair of jeans as I didn't have enough 'casual stuff'.

I've never really given much thought to it. I just wear the sort of stuff I wore before I had children, whether it's a weekday or a weekend. Jeans and a jumper in winter or 3/4 length trousers and a short-sleeved top in the summer.

Given how messy I get with two preschoolers - being sicked on, pooed and weed on as well as smeared in mud, paint and food - I should probably just wear the clothes I reserve for gardening or decorating, although I would probably look like a scarecrow if I did so.

I find patterned tops work well for covering up mess, mainly goo and biscuit.

I generally live in skinnies with boots or converse. pre faded jeans are much better for 'floor work' (playing trains etc)

go for comfort and practicality but doing your hair and make up daily helps you feel better.

in winter, jeans + ugg boots + vest + jumper and barbour jacket. swap uggs for lace up ankle boots if want to be smarter. spring, jeans + converse + t shirt + cardigan or hoody. jacket in car in case needed. summer, flip flops, jeans or shorts, t shirt or vest depending on weather. I have smart stuff for nights out or if going somewhere naice but generally I feel pretty good in those clothes day to day. I like to be warm and comfortable as I spend a lot of time in parks etc.

I abhor "mum clothes" but then again was that girl with the goth chick stuff at school! Grin I'm on maternity but for over a year and at my pre birth weight.

I wear 60s/70s vintage, band tshirt and skinny jeans, maxi dresses. It gives me a boost and is all easy to bung in the machine if it's covered in Ella pouch or whatever.

My main concession is shoes: doc martens, converse and she'll toe trainers for comfort.
My beautiful sky high black heels and seam Stockings live in the wardrobe now. Sad
