DD of 16 months I think might be transitioning to 1 nap a day. So I'm wondering when and what others do, particularly as she's an early riser, so when to feed lunch and then snacks. I probably overthinking as usual Blush

DS is 15 months and is going to one nap now. Perhaps 2-3 days a week he has two and the others just one, mainly depending on what we're doing, so toddler groups keep him awake and he has one nap but if we're just mooching about at home he'll have two.

6am ish-wake and he has some milk (this was 5am until last weekend)
7.30- breakfast
10-snack
10.15-11.15 nap (on a 2 nap day)
12- lunch
12.30-2.30-nap (on a 1 nap day)
3-snack
3.30-4.15- nap (on a 2 nap day)
5.30- tea
6.45- bath then milk, teeth and C beebies storyBlush.
7.15-30- bed

So it's about time that my dd at 16 months could be on 1 nap a day then. I just don't know when That's Gonna be if she's up so early! I would really hope that gets better

DS is 17 months and we recently transitioned to one nap as we were struggling to get him down in the morning. He still has two sometimes, but usually routine is:

6:30-7:30 - Wake up (varies a lot, if he wakes at 6 we usually do two naps as and when he needs them)
7:30ish - Breakfast, usually Weetabix with fruit and milk/yogurt
12ish - Lunch
1-4ish - Bottle and nap. Sometimes he sleeps for 90 minutes, but it's usually 2-3 hours. He always has a bottle before his nap so now he'll stand by the kitchen door shouting "bobo" to let us know he's sleepy
5:30ish - Tea
7pm - Bath, bottle and bed. This is the only set time we have throughout the day, and we've never had to adjust bed time. He usually sleeps through the night now.

Oh and I forgot to add, sometimes he's ready for a long nap around the time he would usually have lunch. When this happens we usually give him a snack before his bottle and then a smaller lunch when he wakes up.

DS is only 12 months but we've just dropped to one nap now (maybe have the odd 2 nap day)

Our day looks like this
7am wake
7:30am breakfast
8:30am cows milk in beaker
10:30am snack e.g grapes & rice cake
12pm lunch
12:30-2:30pm nap
2:30pm snack e.g. banana & cracker
5pm dinner
6:30pm bedtime cows milk in beaker
7:30pm bath & teeth
8pm asleep

My girls are 30 months now but at that have they were...

Waking at 7:30, having milk
Breakfast at 8
Lunch at 11:30
Nap from 12-3
Snack at 3
Dinner at 5
Milk and bed at 6:30

They dropped their morning nap at 14 months and I had to bring lunch forward so they could be napping by 12 or a double meltdown would happen. As they got older I could push lunch and nap back a bit so they were having lunch at 12:15 and nap at 1pm.

DragonsDoHiccup · 01/04/2015 22:03

Good grief both of mine had dropped their morning nap by 10 months, and dd1 was dropping her last nap by 18 months - napped abput one day in 3! Dd2 is 16 months and occasionally skips her nap now - and I can't let her sleep for more than 45min -1hpur waking by 2.30 or she won't go to bed until 10pm

I wish I had children who slept Hmm

Anyway schedule is awake 6am for breastfeed then snooze restlessly until 7

Breakfast at 8
Snack at 10.30
Lunch anywhere between 12.30 - 1.30
Nap (if I'm lucky)
Snack at 3.30/4 ish
Dinner at 5.30/6 ish
Bed at 8 and she might eventually fall asleep by 9.

Add in a million breastfeeds including during the night Grin

Yawn....

DD is 17 months, moved to one nap after Christmas. Usual routine is
7.15 - wakes up
7.30 - breakfast
10.30 - snack
12.30 - lunch
1300 - nap for 2 hours
1730 - dinner
1900 - story & bed
If she's had a really busy morning then she may fall asleep before 12, in the car on the way back from toddlers etc. then I wake her after 2 hours for a later lunch, doesn't seem to upset bed-time

Racheyg · 02/04/2015 11:45

My 20 month old ds naturally dropped his 1st nap at about 17 months. Now sleeps for about 1.5 hrs.

6.30/7.am wakes beaker of milk
8.30 porridge/weetabix with banana
Drinks water through out the day and snacks on fruit
12.00 lunch sometimes doesn't eat as he likes his fruit too much
12.30 nap till 14.00
14.00 snack
16.30 dinner fish cake n beans (his fave)
17.30 bath
18.15 beaker of milk
19.00 bed

DD is 19mo. She dropped morning nap about 15mo.

Currently (a bit unpredictable) routine:
6.30 - up
7.30 - breakfast (Weetabix with milk and some fruit)
11.45 - lunch - hot carb/protein followed by a yoghurt
12.00 - nap for up to two hours
3ish - sometimes a snack - bit of fruit, rice cakes or something naughty if we're out
4.30 - dinner, maybe with yet more fruit (she loves fruit)
6ish - sometims a small snack - crackers, bread & butter, smoothie, if really hungry
7.00 - milk, bathtime, teeth and bed by 7.30ish - not always in that order!

She's a dreadful sleeper and usually wakes a couple of times in the night and ends up in bed with us about 2am.
