Has any one used these for their baby?
I stopped at the chemist yesterday and was told to give these to my 10month old, just abit worried as it says on packaging that children under one can have them under medical supervision from a dr.
I didn't see this until I bought them and was back in the car.
I asked him how many sachets she could have and he said well adults can have 5 so it would be about the same for children.
I'm takings her to the dr today anyway, but as we have had another explosion this morning, I thought I would see what you thought, thanks

Are you still getting wet nappies? and when you say explosion do you meant sick or poo?

I wouldn't give dioralyte without doctor/HV advice especially all the time nappies are wet, all the time the are able to wee they are hydrated. Tbh if I got to the point where they were not passing water at all and nappies were completely dry I would call the out of hours doctor.

Last time we had this we just kept on keeping the fluids up and slowly they got better.

My GP prescribed them for under 1s, wasn't a big deal. They wouldn't touch them so it might be irrelevant anyway

Ok thanks. I meant poo explosion.
She is drinking and eating and happy in herself.
She's weeing Also.
Thanks

I also wouldn't bother if she is eating and drinking.

we were prescribed it for ds at 6 months because he had a sickness bug and was showing signs of dehydration (few wet nappies). he wouldn't take it though!

My Ds had them at 16 wks for gastroenteritis, would only have the plain ones not flavoured (under GP supervision).
