Hi all

Just curious - those of you whose lo's have a set routine, what are your plans for the clocks changing?

I think in the past we have changed it half an hour on Saturday and half an hour on Sunday to make up the hour iyswim!

But wondered what others do?
My ds is 16 months and about to drop the morning nap so maybe this could be a good time to do it

Once again, where would I be without MN?!

Rubbish that it's this weekend as we have family staying and ds (who generally wakes around 6am) will have lovely cousin staying in his room. Bet they wake at 5! If he were on his own we could make him stay there and rest but they'll be so excited...

To answer your question we usually do very little about it, accept that ds will wake early/late on the Sunday morning as do far we've been amazed at how quickly he adjusts to new time.

I was going to keep DS up a bit longer tonight in the hope that he'll sleep an extra 20 mins or so in the morning, and then the same Sat night. My DS is 16 months as well. I'm really not sure how easy its going to be. I can't remember back to last year now!

Just been pondering this...we get an extra hour don't we so won't have ds waking at an obscene hour in the morning?

All too confusing for me!

Yes, back in the pre-kids days it meant an extra hour in bed. Now it means I get woken up at some ridiculous time like 4.30am.

I used to curse clocks going back / forward when mine were small. You just get a good routine going and then its's knackered . I just carry on with routine but a t the' new ' times or there about and they should get bak into it after a few days

I've been planning for the last few weeks by putting ds2 to bed a bit nearer 9pm instead of 8pm to try to get him to sleep later - unfortunately it's not working yet so it looks like it will be a 4am start tomorrow!

For this reason alone I think they should stop daylight saving time!
