Tips?

It's very sore. The kind that you just FREEZE if you're moving "wrong" (in my case carrying anything - including dd- and twisting or bending). I can't help but yelp in pain and grimace and dh told me it scared her. I feel awful. Sad He worked from home today but is at work tomorrow.

Any practical tips? Ibuprofen works a bit, as does heat - but aside from medication are there games, safe activities, tips for changing etc when the main pain is lifting her to and from the floor? I can hold her, or play with her put down ... The transition is agony.

By the floor I mean safe put - down places ... her play mat, inflatable ring, bouncy chair etc. I don't just leave her on the carpet! Grin

I know that you use a sling (as do I, all for them). I was just wondering if you might be putting strain on your back due to poor adjustment / posture while doing that?

I suspect it was me compensating (even though I was sat down, only got up to get off) when the bus driver thought he was the bloody stig that did it!! Angry I twisted awkwardly to keep DD stable and safe.
I've also avoided long use with the ring sling as it seems one sided pain.

My back aches - doesn't sound as bad as yours - but when I need to stretch I put DD on her playmat and do my stretches over or beside her while singing/chatting eg cat-cow stretch over her, side stretches beside her so my face is right next to hers which she likes.

It sounds like you need a proper massage or osteopath, can you get to see one..?

It was much better today! Smile

I have a mild auto immune issue (APS) which about once a year makes minor injuries hurt/swell excessively and randomly. "Luckily" I think yesterday was mostly my blood and the injury itself is less severe than it seemed.

I've been able to do normal parenting lifts etc and just skipped our usual walk out with the sling. Smile Ibuprofen was enough for the pain today.
