DC is nearly 9months. I'm still on Mat leave but things will change soon.

This is roughly what I do in the day. But I don't stick to it if DC is sleepy or hungry at different times.

8ish. Wake up
Breakfast before 9am. Porridge or fruit purree.

10-11am . Bottle. When she starts to whinge for it.

The nap happens some time after the bottle. Length can range from half an hour to an hour and a half.

Dinner time 12-1pm ish or whenever she wakes up.

Bottle 2-3pm ish dependent on when lunch was.

Another nap after bottle, similar to the morning. I have no idea how long the nap will be.

5pm tea.

7pm ish bottle
Bed time any time after bottle when she starts to rub eyes or look tired.

Normally asleep by 9pm but wakes herself up a lot and needs rocking back to sleep.

Normally has a small bottle about 4.30am onwards then will sleep till morning.

And repeat.
It is something we have fallen in to, it seems ok for us.

Thank you sellmysoulforsleep - do you get out during the day at all? Are you generally home alone with the baby, do you have the tv or radio on for company?
I try and get out for a daily walk with the pram in the afternoon but most of the time I'm inside with the tv on a and baby.

I have the tv on constantly if i'm home. I mute it if I'm trying to rock her to sleep.

I'm the primary carer for DD. DH works 12-13 hour days 5-6 days a week.

If I've not got a visitor coming over or i'm going out to see someone I'll try and go for a walk when she is due a sleep to save me rocking her she is bloody heavy
I'm trying to do more exercise as well so it's helpful.

Not really massively into routine, but generally I find DS needs to sleep every 2-2.5 hours, so I work it round that and generally always have roughly the same bedtime.
So a rough day would be...
Wake around 6:30, bf.
Breakfast 7:45.
Nap 8:30/9 - about 30 mins.
Often has bf on waking.
Go out for the morning, he'll then often fall asleep on the way home and I'll just extend my drive a bit to make sure he's had at least 20 mins.
Lunch 12:30/1.
Nap 2/2:30 - 30-45 mins.
Bf on waking.
Generally try to get out in the afternoon for a walk/to the playground with his sister/play in the garden in the afternoon. If it's miserable weather I find it much harder to keep him happy staying indoors - I'll often stick him on my back while I do stuff with DD because he just gets irritable in the afternoons, I guess as he gets more tired.
Dinner 4:30/5.
Bath 5:30, get ready for bed and then put his sister to bed.
6:30 bf and bed.

Gavlarrr · 01/03/2015 19:25

My dd wakes around 7.30 bf
Breakfast 9am
Nap 10am
Lunch around 1ish
Another nap
Snack around 4ish
Another nap
Dinner at around 6.30
Plays with all her toys and watches cbeebies until bath
bottle and bed 8.30

Were out everyday so afternoon naps are usuAlly in the car around 20-40 mins a time
She still wakes twice a night 1.30am and 5am ish for bf
Sometimes it's the way it works out rather than a routine, if my plans change her routine changes it's not set in stone

rockinrobintweet · 01/03/2015 20:09

dd wakes around 6:30/7 - nappy change and she plays whilst i make our breakfast (she can move)

by 7:30 breakfast which is crumpet, weetabix and some fruit (sometimes she'll have a couple ounces of milk but i bf until now and she's not fussed for formula)

we then play around the house, in her walker in the garden, I do some cleaning around her

around 10 we walk our dogs and she falls asleep in pushchair. once were home I'll lift her into her bed and she'll sleep for around 2/2 and half hours

wakes around midday. she'll have a nappy change (always pood now!) and I'll get lunch ready whilst she plays. lunch is a hot meal, a cross isn't and a yoghurt with water (usually ofc)

we go out in the afternoon, different classes each day or swimming and then may stop to the shops for few things (anything we might need to do).

we're usually home by 3:30 and dd will have a snack at this time. on a bad teething day she may whinge for milk with her snack and i would give her maybe 6oz

dinner at around 5. has a hot meal, usually some fruit purée (i do a lot of home cooking) and some toast/ anything picky that I have around for her to feed herself

after dinner we play. DH comes home and she'll often go in the garden whilst i prep our dinner. we eat around 6:15 and she sits with us and will try what we're having if she fancies or play nearby

after our dinner we go straight up for a bath. dd doesn't comeback downstairs after this. bath between 25 and 45 mins long (her fav time of day)

bottle of 9oz in the dark and then into her bed to sleep. she plays and babbles for up to an hour but is usually asleep by 7:30.

dd has never slept through the night (until now would bf) and so on occasion will have 4pz between 2 and 5.

then we start again! we have a quiet life but she's just about to settle into nursery as i return to work in 3 weeks time. I'll miss our routine. ive loved the last 9 months!!

Misty9 · 01/03/2015 21:43

I've never been very good at routine, but roughly our days look like this:
6.30 wake up, breastfeed and handover to daddy creche while I sleep a bit more (ds, 3.6, is usually up from 6...)
7/8ish breakfast
Morning spent playing unless going to friends, ds in nursery twice a week.
10ish snack time. Sometimes asks for a feed and has a boob nap.
12ish lunch time.
1ish I try and get her to nap in buggy outside. Can last 1.5 hours if I'm lucky.
3.30ish breastfeed and snack
5ish dinner.
6pm (no ish, this is the only strict routine part!) bath/quiet time, feed and bed By 6.30ish.

Usually feeds once in night.

We do one class a week but the rest mostly centres around what ds is doing, and my husband only works part time. I do remember the monotony of one baby though... i watched a lot more telly!

timeforsleepnow · 02/03/2015 19:02

Our days go something like
6:30 wake up and first breast feed
7am breakfast
8:30ish BF
9am-ish nap
11:30 lunch time
1pm ish BF
2pm nap
3:30pm BF
4:30 tea time
6:00 bath time
6:30-7 asleep

We are usually at home in the morning where DD will play with toys / watch me do jobs around the house etc. We don't let her watch TV. We are usually out in the afternoon or for lunch so the afternoon nap is in the pram. The nap times move around a bit and vary in length. It is the bedtime routine that is really Important to me as it is only recently that DD has started sleeping well so we want to keep consistency there.

seasaltbaby · 02/03/2015 19:34

Hi moomin, I've got a nearly 9 month old & our days go something like this....
6am wakes up but try not get up til 6.30!
7am bf or bottle
7.45/8ish breakfast
9-nap, could be 1-2 hours
10.30/11 bf or bottle, sometimes neither
12/12.30 lunch
1ish nap, again could be 1-2 hours
3ish bf or bottle & snack
5ish dinner
6pm bath time & bottle after
Usually asleep by 6.30 or just after
Still has one night feed as well

We go swimming once a week & just started one other group. We see friends & family visit a lot too. Naps are often in the car too as we go out & take DD to nursery. It's all slightly moveable except bath & bed! Are there any groups you could join to help you get out more? Personally I don't like day time tv & enjoy peace & quiet on the days we are home alone! When DD back from nursery tv is usually on though...

DiamondsandRainbows · 02/03/2015 20:17

Up at about 6.
Breakfast and bottle at 7.30

Lunch and bottle at 12/1pm

Bottle at 4pm after the school run

Dinner at 5 or 6

Bottle at 7pm followed by sleep. Woken for dream feed at 11pm.

Naps whenever he gets the chance, often in the sling or in the car depending what is going on. On quite days he has a nap after lunch and can sleep until its time to do the school run.

The TV is on when the other DC's are about, I have the radio on so there is often noise.

2LittleFishes · 02/03/2015 20:27

6.30 wake up and bottle
7.30 breakfast
9.30 nap
12.00 lunch
12.30 nap
2.00 bottle
5.00 tea
6.30 bath
7.00 bottle and bed

I have a toddler at home so we try and getting once a day, on the days I'm not in work.

When were home we have a little TV in the morning an sometimes when I'm preparing tea, then generally ball pool, stacking cups or he just cruises an annoys his sister. But somedays Cbeebies seems to be on all day if I'm catching up on washing ect.

We goto softplay, playdates, swimming, lunch with friends, big walks to the woods ect at least once a week but all that's mail because of the older one! Don't think I did as much first time round but I worked more then!!

alteredbeast · 03/03/2015 19:14

My 10 month old

5am breastfeed, then back to sleep
6-7am up for day.
9am school run (have two older children). Sometimes if she's been up early she snoozes on school run.
Mornings we are busy. Shopping, cooking, housework or cuppa with a friend. One morning a week we do book bugs at library. Occasionally she needs a boobs nap but I don't let her sleep long in morning as then she won't sleep well later.
12pm always home for lunch then a long nap at home. This is sacrosanct for me. I don't go out in the afternoons because I need quiet time for myself. I read/write or have a nap myself. Extend this time by giving her a breastfeed in bed with me when she wakes up.
3.30pm school run. Then after school very busy with older ones.
7pm bath, breastfeed and bed by 7.30pm.

alteredbeast · 03/03/2015 19:16

Oh quite often have classic fm on but too busy to watch Tele! But do remember it was lonlier/longer with just one baby.
