Inconsolable Crying

Our 7 week old has started crying in the afternoon. It takes 30 minutes or more to console her. Until now we haven't had too many issues.

We have tried all the usual things to help (walking, holding, talking, different room etc etc). She refuses to feed but eventually gives up and finally breast feeds and falls asleep. She is calmest whilst we hold her face down.

Some suggest this is 'evening colic' however not so convinced as we are not seeing any other symptoms apart from the crying.

She's feeding every 2-3 hours; and sleeps most of the time. It is when she is awake longer; or more time between a feed she starts inconsolable crying.

Is it something more than just needing a feed and a sleep?

She sounds overtired based on that description tbh. It gets harder to make them sleep around now - more interested in the world.

I second overtired. We had trouble around the same age as I didn't realise how short their awake time is at this age. Only about an hour or so before it adds up to a melt down.
