Very funny indeed - we all know these Mummies....

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Greensleeves · 21/10/2006 19:07

hmmm. all the archetypes cited are shallow, competitive, vain assholes in one way or another. i don't think all mothers are, personally - not even in London

foxinsocks · 21/10/2006 19:10

was it in T2? I thought it was appalling all week - they even had some non feature about couples sharing a bed (that went on for days....)

Orlando · 21/10/2006 19:11

I'm thinking of setting it to music. (local, weirdy folk music of course.)

Sorry MI.

Combination of 'Been there done that' and 'Designer mum' maybe - don't know.

Funny there isn't a 'Two glasses of wine per day don't give a shite mum'

elastamum · 21/10/2006 19:17

Its a shame they didnt do scummy mummy. I feel I've missed out

Blondilocks · 21/10/2006 19:21

That was funny!

Don't think I'm any of them.

foulmoonfiend · 21/10/2006 19:26

Apart from the wanting to make anyone feel woefully inadequate, I will confess to a lot of self recognition of craft mummy. But too common (and poor) for F and B paint - we've a 'on special offer at DoItAll' house

3andnomore · 22/10/2006 12:44

lol, I thought this article was quite amusing and defiantely one has to take it with a big pinch of salt, me thinks
Couldn't recognise myself in any of them...bits from this one bits from that one, and some more in my case!

TooTickyTheAppleBobber · 22/10/2006 12:55

I think I'm a less posh eco mum

Sheraz · 22/10/2006 13:51

Can't Id myself with any of them really. Maybe a chummy Mummy - just normal friendly trying my best to be a good Mummy, not well off, but doing OK. Certainly no designer gear - if only! Little bit eco warrior - well I recycle!

CountTo10 · 22/10/2006 14:16

I think there's a little of all of them in me!!!! Not a very good range though - there's lots more types out there!!

EmmyLou · 22/10/2006 14:55

This says nothing to me about my life.

(sorry Morrissey)

SSSandy · 22/10/2006 15:01

Think I'm a Tate

Uncomfortably aware that I have a trace of the helicopter mum in me too!

I'm surprised some of you have taken this article seriously enough to be offended by it - it's only a bit of fun, for goodness sake!! I'm with Countto10 - I recognise a bit of myself in several of the "Mummy Types"...

GraceUnderFire - thanks for the lesson in link-typing - had another go and STILL couldn't do it - I'm a lost cause - will have to get DH to help me.....

OP posts:
helsy · 22/10/2006 16:05

No, not me. Unless they do a knackered, skint yet inexplicably happy mum.

DetentionGrrrl · 22/10/2006 16:08

Eco is closest, but not spot on.

Surfermummystomb · 22/10/2006 16:26

I'm none of them. Where's the "let your child watch endless CBeebies so you can talk to a bunch on strangers on the internet mum"?

Sheraz · 22/10/2006 16:56

Lol surfer my DS2 is doing just that while I do this! DH and DS1 think I ma revising for an exam so ae very kindly clearing away yhe lunch stuff and being extra quiet for me, whoops!

EmmyLou · 22/10/2006 20:03

LOL surfer - also saw no reference to "Bugger off and get yourself a snack - I've cooked 3 meals for you today - what more do you want? Blood?" Mum.

lapsedrunner · 22/10/2006 20:09

None of them, I'm Sergeant Major Mum!!!!

hunkermunker · 22/10/2006 20:10
