My ds 12 only got tv in room last year.he has done fab at school, loves reading and even teacher said to us I bet he hasn't got tv in his room.my dd 7 & 8 feel hard done to because friends have tv's dvd players even computers in bedrooms am I being unreasonable mum ?

No. Don't succumb to the pressure if you don't want them to have it. Your eldest was 11/12, just tell the others that that is the age you will consider getting them a tv too.

No. Anyway, it'd be hard on your DS if you let his little sisters have a TV now. Stick your guns.

It is hard because I think girls feel "disadvantaged" compared to friends. they enjoy playing in their rooms and i think if we put TV in it would stop all their imaginary games etc or perhaps the novelty would ware off.It is hard because you do find you give in at an earlier age once you have done it for first child like sleepovers etc.

No, ds is 8 and hasnt asked. we only have a very small tv in the house as i hate big ones that swamp the room.None of his friends have.

I thini 12 as yo say and for your reasons is fine.
