What are the signs for what? The sign for toilet?
If that's what you're after it's taking the index finger of right hand and sort of making a brushing crumb away type gesture with it over the top of the breast area on your left hand side.

That's not what you mean is it.

LOL. As I pressed 'POST' I thought, oh bugger, she's so not talking about signing!
Ahhh well, you've learnt something new today aye

PS - to answer your question - isn't it when they cross their legs and hold their crotch and jump up and down?

I'll get me coat.

my dd signs were taking her nappy off everytime she needed a wee and weeing all over the floor! This was at 21 months and 2 weeks later she was completly dry during the day.

He he

To be a bit boring and give a more pratical answer...I think established wisdom is:

they can tell you they are doing (or even better) are GOING to do a wee/poo
they are showing some interest in potty/pants/toilet
and can perform on demand at least occassionally.

Having said that my son wasn't doing the first when I potty trained - I reckoned he just wasn't going to tell me until he could see there was an implication of doing domething, iykwim...In retrospect, night have had an easier time if I'd waited...

my ds wants to wear "big boys pants". He tells me when he is doing a poo but not a wee.He goes on the potty if I ask him to but I am a busy childminder so this isnt as often as Id like.He initiated his first proper big poo the other night (usually forces out a little poo for praise)He doesnt stay on potty for long though.Im just not convinced he is ready but want to take the opportuity as its half term, but I will stop after 4-5 days if no joy as dont see point.
