I am about to have my secondchild and saw these in a catologue and thought they looked absolutely amazing but i have scanned the internet and there seem to be a)not many reviews because they are a relatively new product and b) what is there are mixed reviews so has anyone got any first hand experience and they total £100 once i have bought a raincover and i may be better off buying a double buggy...

I had one - we attached it to a phil and ted's e3 (which the website said was compatible) - however it was incredibly unstable and dd was petrified of it after it semi-somersaulted with her in the seat whilst we were trying it out at home.
I sent it back and got a refund.

Which buggy are you thinking of attaching it to? It might be ok on a chunky 4 wheel type buggy...wouldn't recommend for lightweight buggies or 3 wheelers though.

Funny you should say that Bluebear as thats what a couple of the bad reviews said and also that it was hard to detach and attach easily which is important for loading in the boot etc - its a great concept but it needs to feel safe and maybe it need smore work to make it more stable?? Its a lot of money to throw away on something...

I do have a 4 wheeler but theres no guarantee that it wouldn't happen to that either - one reveiwer said the screws fell out and her dd1 was in it when it collapsed!! In america they'd sue....

Just been reccommended a Emmaljunga with an attached toddler seat - couldn't be bothered to start a new thread!), the one i saw online looked a bit unattractive - i know they aren't fashion accessories - but wondered if anyone could help with my newborn/nearly 3 yr old situation in regards to transport!!!

i think the mutsys are great all purpose pushchairs. if you have both children with you you can use it as a tandem pushchair, but say you have the baby and dh has the nearly 3yo you could have the baby in the mutsy with just asingle seat and dh could have the older child in a lightweight buggy. means you only have to have 2 pushchairs as opposed to 3 if you have a double buggy. cant comment on the pod things though.

i would put a 3yo on a buggy board. I have 18mnth dts and manage mostly with a single and buggy board or one walking, cos they fight otherwise.
Maybe just take a baby sling for emergencies.

I will have the same age gap when my baby is born next year. I'm hoping to get away with a sling for the newborn and I'm currently teaching dd to ride a trike in the hope she can pedal away under her own steam and encouraging her to walk more. If that fails I'm thinking about one of these

I bought a buggyboard for my ds1 when he had learnt to walk but was too tired to carry on walking but didn't want to go in the pram and it has been a godsend.

He was 3 when my ds2 was born and I have a graco liberty pram (like a graco travel system but it is slightly different as it is a rear facing/forward facing pram and the footrest comes up to create the base of a carrycot ie no separate carry cot!!!) I have the buggyboard on that for when I collect ds1 from preschool nursery.

It clips off and on very easily, is very sturdy even down curbs, and my ds1 loves it, feels like he is driving the pram.
