Weaning 6 month old - what next?

We started to wean our first dc (he's 6 months) around 3 weeks ago and I've honestly got no clue what I'm doing.

He is exclusively express breast fed and has purées once a day, around 5pm. He's currently finishing savoury food then finishing dessert then having fruit.
For example yesterday he had butternut squash and sweet potato, then a yoghurt then a few pieces of clementine.

What happens now? Should I introduce lunch too? Or increase portion size?

Thanks

Is there a particular reason he's having purée instead of solids?
Don't forget that milk needs to be his main source of nutrition unil he's one so don't stress about the food part too much. Let him try lots of different flavours and textures but don't worry too much about how much he's eating. I'd try 'food' after a milk feed then you know he's getting what he needs and just topping up with solids.

I'm also weaning my 6 month old- I would try introducing a second meal but also would offer more if still seemed hungry!

sparkly we just tried it and he likes purée. We give him finger foods to try but he's just interested in playing with them - which is fine right now.

I would introduce another meal now Probably breakfast or whatever time works for you sounds like he is doing well

Maybe try some porridge in the mornings and tea.
I was the same, didn't really have a clue feeling. I also feed my daughter puréed food. I personally prefere it, she heaved and sicked up whole bottles when I gave her solids.
She is 8months now and enjoying 3 meals a day. I give her cucumber and bits to suck and play with throughout the day also. X

I did breakfast first, then dinner(5 ish), then lunch, then snacks. Maybe try him with half a weetabix or some porridge (both with some mushed up banana or fruit puree)in the morning an hour or two after his morning milk feed. A few of my friends did purees for a while and struggled to get their babies on to any kind of lumps so weetabix might be a good half way house as it isn't completely smooth.
Sweet potato wedges (just plain boiled), banana cucumber sticks etc make good finger foods.
Don't worry about the milk, just let him take as much as he needs. I stopped bf at 6 months so ds was bottle fed by then, he was about 7.5 months when he dropped a milk feed but he was a very enthusiastic eater(he was on 3 meals a day by then).
