Hi
I've successfully made it to day 11 of breastfeeding cheers and would like to treat myself to some new nursing tops to celebrate. I know they're not 100% necessary but I'd like a few in the wardrobe for occasions when discretion is a priority. Can you recommend a brand/shop?

I got a couple of basic twin packs from Mothercare. Long sleeve jersey t-shirt types. Can't link from phone but they were great for discreet public feeding.

Well done on day 11! Those first few weeks are the hardest. Smile

Having breastfed both mine for a year each I agree that they are not strictly necessary and that vest top down and jumper up works well but agree that it's nice to have a few nursing tops as well. I would have to say that spending a little more on jojo man Bebe ones is well worth it. I have a couple which are stripey across the top and have a extra flap which goes over boobs. I'm not explaining this very wellSmile it's almost like a slit across shirt at boob height so tummy and boobs are covered when you feed. They also do pj tops in a same design and I have worn mine every night just about for the last six month. So good for keeping warm during cold nights as you can just peek your nipple out the slit!

I personally felt a bit weird about the ones that open horizontally - (seemed like playing peekaboo with my boobs!) but I had some nice ones from Mamas and Papas that look like a cardigan over a vest, and open to the side. Also I recommend getting some non-horrible nursing bras, good for the self esteem when you're covered in milk. I have a pink one from the Swedish brand Boob (!), which I love. Bought it from the NCT online shop I think.

I have a few from h&m which are good, but my favourites are two from jojo Maman Bebe, they are really comfy, a bit more discrete and wash really well and feel just a bit warmer than the h&m ones. Breton stripe

Forgot to say well done for getting to day 11, it's so hard in the first few days, but once you're underway, which it sounds like you are, so much easier than sterilising bottles etc, I used to love that all I needed when I left the house was a nappy and some wipes. My change bag was a bit empty, then weaning started and suddenly I was carrying around pots, spoons, bibs, and realised why I needed such a large change bag!

I rate Seraphine and Jojo Maman.

You could also try asos and frugi. Some bargains can be had on eBay.
